ICT Supports

Dokumen Perjalanan Terhad

The purpose of this document is to be issued to Malaysian citizens from Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah for the purpose of temporary travel, entry, and stay in Sarawak for a period exceeding 3 months. This document is commonly known as the "Student Pass" or "Temporary Pass". The issuance of this document is important as it provides confirmation and authorization for the holder to cross the borders between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah/Sarawak, as well as to access various services and facilities in both states. By holding this document, Malaysian citizens can engage in educational, employment, or personal activities that require their presence in Sabah and Sarawak for the specified period.

Validity Period

Five (5) years from the date of issuance and can be renewed for another 5 years

Payment

RM 5.00

Student Pass

  • A pass that issued to Malaysian citizens from Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah who are studying in Sarawak.
  • Sticker that needs to be affixed inside the Dokumen Perjalanan Terhad (DPT).
  • The validity period of the Student Pass is based on the original duration of the student's studies or the validity period of the Dokumen Perjalanan Terhad (DPT).
  • The application to obtain a Student Pass is processed through the Administration Unit of the Student Services Centre (PKP).

General Terms and Condition

  • Complete the Borang Pasport Malaysia (IM.42), which can be obtained at the passport office counter or downloaded for free from the Immigration Department's website. The form should be downloaded and printed on A4 paper, both front and back.
  • Photos should be sized 3.5 cm x 5 cm and you will need to provide TWO (2) copies of the photo
  • Dokumen Perjalanan Terhad (if applicable)
  • MyKad/Army Identification Card/Police Identification Card or Temporary Identification Card (JPN.KPPK 09 or 11) for applicants aged 12 and above.
  • Applicants must be present during the application process.
